Celebration of International Yoga Day 2025

11th International Day of Yoga Celebration by Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth – A Collective Effort Towards Health Through Yoga On 21st June 2025, Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV) celebrated the 11th International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm and commitment by organizing a series of programs aimed at promoting the universal message of Yoga. The central theme for this year was “One Earth, One Family, One Future”, which strongly reflects the spirit of global unity, health, and wellness.



Program 1: “Green Yoga – Yoga with Nature”

As part of the Yoga Day celebration series, RAV organized a special session titled “Green Yoga – Yoga with Nature” in the lush green lawn of its office premises. The main objectives of the session were:
✅ To promote holistic health through yoga practice in a natural environment.
✅ To raise awareness about environmental consciousness.
Conducted amidst natural sounds, fresh air, and green surroundings, the session offered participants a profound experience of balance between mind, body, and soul. All officials, staff, and students of RAV actively participated. They not only practiced Yoga but also delved deeper into its philosophical foundations, learning how yoga helps bring balance and reduce stress in daily life. The session included Common Yoga Protocol, meditation, pranayama, and simple asanas, helping participants attain inner peace and energy. Dr. Vandana Siroha, Director, RAV, addressed the participants, emphasizing living in harmony with nature. She remarked, “Practicing yoga in the lap of nature not only benefits the body but also sensitizes us toward the environment.” The event highlighted how Yoga and nature together contribute to balance, health, and peace in life.

Program 2: Participation in "Samyog" Workshop at CCRAS, New Delhi

RAV also participated in the one-day workshop "Samyog" organized by the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), New Delhi. The theme was “Empowering Modern and Contemporary Healthcare Systems through Yoga.” The event was graced by eminent dignitaries:

Dr. Siroha expressed that Yoga is an effective means of long-term health and well-being for all age groups, especially children and the elderly.
More than 100 students, researchers, and physicians from A&U Tibbiya College, Ch. Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan (CBPACS), SGT University, NCISM, and RAV participated, showcasing a united commitment to integrating Yoga with modern healthcare systems.

Program 3: Grand Yoga Day Event at CBPACS, Najafgarh

In collaboration with CBPACS, Najafgarh, RAV organized a grand Yoga session at 7:00 AM on 21st June 2025. Over 700 participants including undergraduate and postgraduate students, faculty, doctors, staff, and patients took part. The event commenced with the inspirational message of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, followed by a Common Yoga Protocol session led by instructors from the Department of Swasthavritta. Everyone participated with great enthusiasm. A special Yoga demonstration by students and staff brought a vibrant energy to the gathering. Prof. (Dr.) Manubhai Gaur, Director-Principal, CBPACS, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of Yoga in everyday life. Dr. Vandana Siroha, Director, RAV, encouraged participants by sharing her views on the positive impact of Yoga in daily routine. The event truly embodied the spirit of “Yoga for Health”, marking a strong step toward creating a healthy society through the integration of Yoga and Ayurveda.

Program 4: Joint Yoga Session at RAV & NCISM Campus

A joint Yoga session was held in the office premises of Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth and National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) at Dhanwantari Bhawan, Punjabi Bagh (West), New Delhi. The session aimed not only to foster inter-institutional cooperation but also to practice Yoga's core principles — unity of body, mind, and spirit — at the workplace. Officials, employees, and Yoga enthusiasts from both institutions participated enthusiastically. The session, led by trained Yoga instructor Shri Sachin from RAV, included Surya Namaskar, Pranayama, Trataka, and Meditation. Participants were encouraged to adopt Yoga into their daily routine for physical fitness, mental peace, and enhanced work efficiency. Dr. Vandana Siroha (Director, RAV) and Prof. B.L. Mehra (Chairman, NCISM) were present and encouraged the participants. They emphasized that such practices are not only beneficial for individual health but also generate collective positive energy and institutional harmony.

Program 5: Yoga Practice by CRAV Gurus & Shishyas Across India

CRAV Gurus and Shishyas of RAV organized Yoga sessions across various parts of the country. More than 100 Gurus and 250 Shishyas conducted sessions at their homes, hospitals, and clinics. Through this nationwide participation, RAV successfully engaged over 1,000 individuals, marking an exceptional contribution to the International Day of Yoga under the guidance of the Ministry of Ayush. On this occasion, everyone reflected on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Golden Global Future” and appreciated the worldwide influence of Yoga. These events organized by Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth not only highlighted the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of Yoga but also represented a powerful step toward promoting an integrated approach of Ayurveda and Yoga in society. Yoga, when combined with Ayurveda, possesses a transformative power to bring holistic health and lifestyle changes. RAV has played a key role in this mission and will continue its dedicated efforts toward building a healthier and more aware society.
